Trials

We collaborate with Ortho Advantage, we offer wheelchair scripting and trials at one convenient location — the South Gippsland Health Centre.

 1. Pre-Trial Assessment
Your journey begins with an initial consultation at the Ortho Advantage Seating and Wheelchair Clinic. During this comprehensive assessment, your clinician will evaluate your needs and recommend the most appropriate options tailored to you.

2. Equipment Trials
We offer in-clinic trials of wheelchair models alongside your treating clinician, who has completed your Assistive Technology Assessment. These trials help ensure the selected equipment meets your functional and postural goals.

3. Provision
Once your funding is approved, we will provide you with your wheelchair, ensuring all specifications align with your assessed needs and preferences.

4. Review & Follow-Up
After provision, your treating orthotist/prosthetist will fine-tune your equipment and make necessary adjustments as your needs evolve over time.
